מאוורר בשקל שישים
לאחר הגשם מזג האויר הצטנן אבל עדיין חם ולח,
הפתרון המקומי והיעיל הוא מאוורר תקרתי, אלו פועלים כל הזמן בתוך הבתים ומי שאין לו אחד כזה לא ישן בתוך הבית, הוא פשוט מוציא את מיטתו החוצה וישן ברחוב, העשירים מבין אלו ישנים על הגגות.
למעשה במבנים הישנים היה תיכנון רק לחללים הרטובים (שירותים ומטבח, לפעמים גם לפינה לכביסה) וזאת מכיוון שמקום השינה בבית משתנה לפי העונה ולפי המיקום הצונן יותר בעונה, הכנסת המאוורירים שינתה חלק גדול בתכנון כי זה אפשר להקצות חדר קבוע לצרכי שינה, גם המזגן שינה רבות, מרגע הופעת המזגן, לא צריך יותר לבנות בצפיפות (תתפלאו אבל בניה בצפיפות עוזרת, משום שהבניין של השכן מצל על הבניין שלך, נוצרות מנהרות רוחות שאפשר לשלוט בהן ובכך למזג את הבתים), גם אין צורך לשתול הרבה עצים גבוהים שיצלו על המבנים ובטח שלא צריך לחשוב על כיווני השמש והאויר בקיצור, המזגן מאפשר לבזבז והרבה מאד.
בחדרי הצנוע יש מאוורר תקרתי, אישית אני לא מסוגל להעביר דקה בחדר ללא המאוור אחרת מרגישים בתוך חממה, עם כל הסרקולציה שאמורה להתבצע עם החלונות או כאשר פותחים את הדלת האויר פשוט לא זז ללא המאוור.
אז מה קורה כאשר המאוור מתקלקל ומפסיק לעבוד?
זה קרה לקראת ערב ולא היה למי לפנות, חשבתי לעצמי שאצליח להתמודד לילה אחד, רק שלא הבנתי כמה זה יהיה קשה, את הלילה ללא המאוורר העברתי בין מקלחות צוננות וניסיונות שינה ללא הצלחה, הדבר שבטוח הצלחתי היה להזיע והרבה אפילו נמנמתי על כסא מחוץ לחדר, שם בחוץ הרבה יותר צונן (כאילו לבני החימר מהן עשוי המבנה שמרו את החום כל היום ובערב החליטו לנקום בי).
בבוקר למחרת פניתי לגורמים, אחרי בירוקרטיה קלה בצהרים הלכתי עם הטכנאי,
זה חשב שאני דביל, אני הפעלתי את המאוור וזה לא עבד, ואז הטכנאי אמר:

הוא סובב את המתג המווסט את המהירות [כאילו שאני מאיזה עולם שלישי חסר הבנה באלקטרוניקה ולא מכיר את המתג הזה וכאילו שלא ניסיתי]
אך אז הוא היה בהלם זה אכן לא עבד.
כל ניסיונותיו לתקן עלו בתוהו, ואז הוא פסק:

לאחר שהוא הוריד את המאוור לקח אותו ועלה על הקטנוע ,
עצרתי אותו ואמרתי רגע אבל מתי יהיה אחד חדש

ושניהם נעלמו,
אחרי מספר דקות הגיעו השכנים שחדרם הוא שתי דלתות ממני, לאחר שאמרתי שלום חזרתי לחדר מחכה שמשהו יקרה ואז שמעתי ויכוח קולני, מחוץ לחדר של השכנים היה אב הבית והטכנאי, באותו הרגע הבנתי שמשהו לא בסדר בסיטואציה והחלטתי להכנס פנימה לחדר.
אחרי מספר דקות הטכנאי הופיע עם מאוורר זה של השכנים והתקין אותו בחדר,

לא נעים אבל אני ישנתי מעולה הלילה, אבל לא מסגול לדבר עם השכנים,מי ידע שזה מה שהם יעשו.
